On Saturday, September 16, the Denmark American Legion Johnson-Hershman Post 363 held their annual Flag Disposal Ceremony outside their post on Railroad Avenue in the Village of Denmark. That day, following a solemn ceremony led by Legion members, they disposed of 623 worn and tattered American flags. Flags were collected throughout the year by Legion members as well as the collection bin at Memorial Park.
