Josephine “Joanne” Leiterman, age 89, of Denmark, passed away October 23, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Family and friends may visit at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark on Thursday, October 27, from 10:00am until 11:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm with Fr. Xavier Amirtham, O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

The Denmark News, as well as the community as a whole, was sad to hear the news of the passing of long-time Denmark School educator and fixture of the Denmark Community, Dennis Graham. Many readers will remember being taught by Mr. Graham over his 30 years of service to the Denmark School District, and he will certainly be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

GREEN BAY – Patricia J. Rasmussen, an award-winning reporter and columnist who worked for multiple publications across Brown and Door counties during a 33-year career in journalism, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, after a decade-long battle with dementia.

Jerome “Jerry” John Schleis, 87, died peacefully from complications of pneumonia on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers with his best friend by his side.  Born in Green Bay, WI on February 13, 1935, he was the son of Dr. Wenzel J. and Mary A.

Michael A. “Mike” Navarre, 53, died Saturday, Aug. 6, of a heart attack. He was born in Green Bay to Roger and Joanne Navarre on May 3, 1969, attended St. John’s elementary school in Green Bay and graduated from Denmark High School and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He married Heather Chapel at Old St. Joseph Church, De Pere, in 1994.

Elmer Richard Rhodes, age 88, Denmark, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He was born on April 28, 1934, to Karl and Marie Rhodes (Cole) in Pontiac, Michigan.
