On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Cassie's Coop hosted their annual August bash which also served as a farewell for this iteration of the business with new ownership taking over on Monday morning. That day, the Denmark Rod & Gun Club opened their doors for the 45th Annual Les Johnson Memorial Shoot featuring over one hundred of the area's top shooters competing over six hours of rapid-fire action.

On Monday, the department honored Darrel Hansen, who has transitioned to an Honorary Member, for his decades of service with a surprise presentation on his front lawn accompanied by members and an array of firetrucks and support vehicles.

Last Thursday, Our Savior's Lutheran Church hosted a fun and tasty fellowship dinner. That night, the parish hosted their annual Salad Supper featuring three dozen varieties of the dish along with a great chance to socialize for one and all.

Last Thursday, the Denmark High School parking lot and adjoining streets were packed with vehicles patiently awaiting an annual dairy treat. That afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., Denmark volunteers helped hand out 100 free care packages filled to the brim with Wisconsin dairy products as part of the statewide Neighborhood Dairy Distribution Program.
